| Why Use an Online Planroom? In today's tightened economy, efficiency is paramount. When it comes to managing your projects, document gathering, printing, distributing, and setting drop-off times to deliver plans to subs and clients is tedious and time consuming at best. Our Online Planroom is a Virtual Office for all those chores. What is an Online Planroom? By posting your project plans online, you have access to view, order, distribute, and track those documents. We will organize the drawings according to discipline - ie Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, and addendums. Our Online Planroom is an access point which you control for your General Contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to be able to view, order, receive and bid your projects. Electricians - for example - can order only the pages they need, not wasting paper on an entire set they probably won't use. What does it cost? It's FREE to the client. The client may be an Architect who wants the project open for bidding, and notifies select General Contractors who need to gather the documents from the Planroom for their bid process. The client could be a General Contractor who has been awarded the project and is wanting to shift their expenses downstream to qualified subcontractors who wish to bid. Public or Private Jobs? A Public job is set up as one specified by the client where anyone can access to view and order plans. A Private job is one which is set up with controlled access via a password key. Email notices to the clients' preferred invitees instruct them where to go and how to access the project. Document Tracking The client can wish to have the Planholder tab activated so that every set of plans that is ordered can be tracked. This ensures that every planholder is accounted for and it can be verified that the correct set, change, or addendum is in their hands. Email updates to plan status notify Planholders as to updates or changes. Invitations to bid are simplified by sending every potential bidder to the Planroom.
